AP NFL MVP · THROUGH THE 2025 AWARD CYCLE
How many MVPs does Josh Allen have?
Josh Allen has one AP NFL MVP award, for the 2024 season. It was announced on .
The NFL season and the ceremony fall in different calendar years: “2024 MVP” and “won MVP in February 2025” describe the same award. The Bills’ first-MVP announcement documents the win; the 2025 NFL Honors winners list names Matthew Stafford for the following season.
Why do some 2024 summaries say 40 touchdowns and others 41?
The difference is receiving touchdowns. Adding Allen’s passing and rushing scores gives 40; including his receiving score gives 41. Read the category label before comparing a total with another page.
| Category | Touchdowns |
|---|---|
| Passing | 28 |
| Rushing | 12 |
| Receiving | 1 |
| Passing + rushing + receiving | 41 |
NFL: touchdown breakdown. Calculation: 28 + 12 + 1 = 41. Postseason touchdowns are excluded.
How should I read the rest of this awards page?
The MVP count above covers the AP regular-season award. All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections are separate honours; statistical records have their own dates and scopes. Adding those entries together would not produce a meaningful MVP count.
For a game-level example from that season, compare Allen’s 2022 and 2024 SoFi performances against the Rams. The season tables keep regular-season and playoff numbers separate.
